Whenever I think of Hawaii, the very first thing that comes to mind is VACATION!!! The beaches are soo picturesque; just the mere mention of Hawaii transports me to Paradise. Sooo, naturally, when BH dropped the Hangin in Hawaii palette as apart of their Travel Series Collection, I knew it HAD to be mine! The size is IDEAL; whether being used for travel, or just finding a permanent home in your makeup kit for everyday use. Hangin in Hawaii has some serious potential, and I see for myself firsthand why this was the only palette in the Travel Series to sell out on the website shortly after release...
Right away I was enamored by the packaging; it's bright pink and gold, my FAVORITE colors! The inside of the palette contains a full-sized mirror, surrounded by a lush green, tropical foliage print. The side of the clamshell that houses the pans is completely gold. Each color is aptly named to reflect an aspect of the island. The shades are all neutral, but very versatile. The palette contains 11 matte shades, and 5 shimmers. The mattes are buttery and smooth, and the shimmers are so intense they can be applied without primer DRY. I am in love with the shade Hibiscus for a transition shade these days, but also enjoy Lei and Paradise too. My faves of the shimmers have to be Luau, which is an almost duochrome, coppery shade; and Sandy, the most gorgeous sunset gold color.
I foresee this palette fulfilling the eye makeup dreams of all my jetsetters heading to tropical destinations. Whatever look you choose, Hangin in Hawaii will keep you in a sunny, vacay type of vibe. I love HER, and am full of anticipation for the next in the series to drop(perhaps Fiji?!). Lovely job BH, πππππ₯(4.5 kisses); keep blowing my mind!~The Queen
