Setting sprays are something that has become more important to me more recently in my makeup life; say the past two years. This was a direct result of m adding more powdered products to my everyday routine. Not only does it lock your makeup in place, but it can be sprayed on your face throughout the application process to "melt" your face products together, making your look more cohesive, and giving a more professional look and feel to your complete face. I first gave Bh's Studio Pro version a spin, using it initially on my birthday, and like MOST BH products, IMMEDIATELY became smitten...
Something that I ALWAYS do when it comes to a new setting spray is, after 2-3 uses, I pour about 1/4 of it into an empty container, then replace it with 1 part rose water, and one part witch hazel. This adds a little extra hydration and feels wonderful on my skin. I use that initial 2-3 uses to gage how well the product works on its own. This particular spray performed EXACTLY as intended. It was like the hairspray of makeup! The product is not instantly drying, so it can take up to 1 minute to be completely absorbed. After adding my mixture , the spray only performed BETTER. My makeup lasted 10 hours, and when it was time to wash it off, I needed a few passes with my face brush and cleanser before the makeup would move. I will add that NONE of the products I used were waterproof; yet a barrier was created that was strong enough to resist!!
