BH Cosmetics Colour Festival 12 Pcs Brush Set

With makeup brushes being the artist's tool of the trade when it comes to the beauty world, BH has just released their MUST HAVE set!!  Each year during festival season, along with a visually stunning palette (which I reviewed this year's palette in a previous post linked here:  https://nouveaubeauty.queenkhira.com/2019/05/bh-cosmetics-colour-festival-shadow.html), BH releases a set of coordinating brushes.  They are usually fun, brightly colored, but generally fair more on the side of novelty tham workhorses...until now!  I don't know for sure what happened, but BH CAME WIT IT when it comes to these brushes, outperforming a few of my longtime favorites from the company I used to SWEAR by.  Let me not hold you up from these fluorescent beauties a moment longer...

So there are 12 brushes included in the set in all; each made from an ultra-soft white synthetic material(both vegan and cruelty-free as always!).  The ferrules are a metallic silver, and the barrels are a bright neon yellow.  It does include an angled brush holder of the same shade.  I don't know about you guys, but it's something about a brush set that comes with it's own holder as opposed to a bag or standard brush roll; it's like it makes it more legit?!  Anyway, I digress...These bristles literally feel like feathers.

#10, the blending brush, has shown me that I have been putting WAAYY too much elbow grease when relying on other brushes; just a few sweeps back and forth, and my eye makeup looked as if I had taken my time and blended for hrs.  The #4 highlight brush is a larger, fluffier version of the blender, applies highlight precisely when confined to the tip, then can be turned on it's side to blend out beautifully.  When I was going for a more mattified look for my face, I used the #1 powder brush to sweep it over the entire face; making the shape ideal for hitting all the places generally overlooked by a larger, more full powder brush.  The most unique brush of the collection has to be #12, the mini detail fan brush.  I am unsure of it's intended purpose, however, I have been using this to highlight my brow bone and/or blending out my nose contour product prior to applying powder, and it's been excellent for that.  It's also the perfect size to hit the cupid's bow with just the right amount of highlighter too.  The eye brushes are all stellar; dupes for a few MAC counterparts for sure!

Colour Festival 12 Pcs Brush Set is refreshingly fantastic.  It's so nice to see something so fun be full of functionality.   I have absolutely nothing bad to say about these brushes; just LOOKING at them makes me smile! The only things the set is lacking is a brush for foundation application, and brow tools; however, these are small things to a giant.  We usually have specific designated tools that we love to do these with on a normal basis anyway(um, hello beauty blender!).  You can own this set for $22.00, however, they are currently OUT OF STOCK on the website, but may still be available at Ulta or Urban Outfitters, both of which carry BH products.  These brushes have ushered in a new standard of quality for me as far as BH brushes are concerned, and I now EXPECT nothing less than amazing from future releases.  You got it here first, this set is worth all 💋💋💋💋💋💋💥(6.5) kisses I am awarding them; Love from first swipe!~ The Queen
