There comes a time in every girl's makeup life when she goes through the CHANGE. It's that moment when you are finally comfortable in your own makeup skin, and all of a sudden, you're ready for MORE; basic just won't do anymore. Today's brush set, Lavish Elegance, is one of those items that answers the call...Every brand has at least 1 brush set that is considered a little more luxurious than the others(usually sporting a price tag to match!). In my opinion, BH has 2 such sets, Marble Luxe(which I previously reviewed and will link here: https://nouveaubeauty.queenkhira.com/2019/01/bh-cosmetics-marble-luxe-10-brush-set.html), and this one, Lavish Elegance. Let's delve into this absolutely decadent set, and take a closer look at the BH idea of Luxury...
Nowadays, brush companies have come to realize the massive 32+ pcs brush sets of old are all but obsolete. They generally include more useless brushes than viable ones, and are RARELY used as intended. So, in recent years, we have seen the streamlining of sets; being more "curated" to suit the needs of the particular user. Such sets generally include no more than 10 brushes. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Lavish Elegance included 14 brushes, each full sized with tapered barrels. The brushes are a brushed lavender, appearing almost pewter in color, with a slightly brighter matching metallic ferrule. The 1st thing I noticed that was somewhat unique is hat it includes an all over bronzer brush(#1), which is the fullest, and largest of the set. The bristles are just as the name indicates, absolutely LAVISH. There are several great eye brushes in the set as well; with the blending crease brush(#5) being my a new favorite of mine due to it's petite size. I was able to find a use for each brush in my routine.
I would dare say this would be ideal for a full face, but the set DOES lack a brush for foundation. This is where we put on our beauty big girl boots on, and venture out into the world of buying singular products; case in point, a single brush and/or blender. They retail for just $32.00 on a regular day, and are certainly worth the price.
