(Not So) Crystal Clear

Let’s be clear, no one’s skin is stark white.  Therefore, it has always baffled me how a powder that leaves a white caste when photographed, and appears white in color in its container can be considered “translucent”.  For who, an apparition??!!  Since the trend of HD translucent setting powder began several years ago, I have had to mix a powder that matched my skin tone with the translucent one in an effort to tint the powder.  This method has served me smashingly well.

Well guess what?!  LA Colors has created a pre-mixed version that costs only $2.25 at Family Dollar!!  I have been using it for the past two weeks since purchase to set and bake my undereye area.  The formula is great, and absolutely the perfect shade for this purpose.  There is no flashback in photography, and does not leave the area looking gray in natural light.

I would suggest to my ladies of deeper hues to take a page from my prior post, “HD Powder Fix for Women of Color” (http://nouveaumakeupandfashion.blogspot.com/search?q=Powder+fix+for+women+of+color+&m=1), it talks about mixing for a color match.  You can ad a small amount of your everyday face powder to the pre-mixed version for more precise shade.  When used in conjunction with a finishing spray, my undereye locked in place all day, even through tears.  This powder gets 💋💋💋💋, simply because I prefer it specifically for the undereye area as opposed to the total face product it’s being marketed to the public as😉~The Queen~
