Since I first heard about this foundation I was dying to try it!! Once again, my girl RayeRaye put me on game via YouTube(her full review video is linked below!), and I have been patiently awaiting their arrival in my city.
One of the advantages of living in Detroit is having access to a wider variety of shade ranges when it comes to particular brands and women of color. There is also a Family Dollar on every corner, which is where you find the largest range of LA Colors products. So I stalked like 5 local stores till the display went up...
My skin, like most every other woman of color, is multifaceted, and one shade of foundation takes all the life out of it. The same with pressed powder. So generally, as a rule of thumb, I normally buy more than one shade and create a custom tone. For this particular foundation, I went with the shades Cafe and Cappucino, each bottle costs as mere $4. These two colossrs combined gave me excellent color match quality. The coverage is outstanding, and the product does not dry too quickly, allowing for blendability. I will say this product is TRULY MATTE, so if you’re like me, you are A., going to use it just in certain spots to even out my skin tone; or B., going to have to reincorporate contouring and highlighting back into my routine! The coverage is so full that it almost looks unreal. This is DEFINITELY not the one to use if you are going for a natural look or enjoy seeing your skin. A full face is a MUST with this foundation, and has become my new go to for flash photography.
