So I was just strolling around Dollar General, minding my business, when my eyes landed on an LA Colors display. I noticed a sleek, rounded, black tube in the lip section. Upon further inspection, I was able to confirm: LA Colors had a new lipstick line out! At $2.00 a pop, I could have bought them all, HOWEVER, with NO indicator of consistency OR finish, I gravitated towards 6 shades that looked the most like me....
Let me say that these new lippies are a complete ENIGMA- the tube simply says LA Colors on the side with the shade name and number. Initially, I couldn't find any info ANYWHERE about these lipsticks, even the company website provided no answers. I started to feel like if I hadn't seen these with my own eyes, AND purchased them, I could easily believe I dreamed the whole experience! Not long after, I performed an additional search and began to see it pop up for sale on several different retail sites.
The Colors I purchased include:
~Sugar Plum
~Rum Raisin
~Melted Nude
~Rosewood
~Vintage
~Nude Nude
My Shades of choice would be Rosewood and Nude Nude. Not Because the others are not equally as pretty, they just weren't suited for the season at the time of purchase. I am welcoming the cooler weather to try out some of the deeper shades. Once the chill hits the air again, these will be the 1st shades I reach for. Especially with how moisturizing this formula is, it gives me even more of a reason to retire some of these glosses and balms I've been raping since the end of the Pandemic!๐ฆ
"A Dream" would be the perfect way to describe these...DAMN these are CREAMY! The good kind of creamy that is somewhere between a rich lip balm and a body soufflรฉ. Yes bitches, that's exactly the experience that comes to mind! The formula of this lipstick is really nice! It feels so good on the lips, and is a welcome change to the matte obsession that has flooded the makeup world for the past several years. They almost put me in the mind frame of Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks. Those, to this day, are my go-to inexpensive lip colors. I'm happy to say with the intro of this new LA Colors line, I just may have found another new love in these. They are fabulous for the price, so I would definitely grab them if you happen to spot the display. I'm giving these๐๐๐๐๐๐, but the mystery remains, just how many shades of this new line exist?~The Queen
