So I have low-key developed a small obsession with travel-friendly sized palettes! I really dig the fact that they aren't too bulky, and can easily be held in the alm of one hand. I have known since it's release that the illusion palette and I were going to have something special! It's the newest addition to BH's mini palette collection, and it's completely unique from any of it's tiny predecessors. You get a brightly-colored assortment of shades that pop, and give you a very pigmented (and inexpensive!) way to play with some color. Without further adieu, it brings me great happiness to introduce the Illusion Palette...
Her packaging is entirely silver and reflective iridescent. You get a large mirror on one half of the clamshell, and your 16 eyeshadows are housed on the other side. there is a combo of matte and shimmers, and a few glitter shades as well. I have found myself gravitating towards the super-bright matte shades, moreso out of curiosity, to see if they really pack a punch. Each of the shades are well pigmented, and applied true to color with just primer on the lid. I felt no need to dampen the brush, but did notice an increase in intensity to the shimmer shadows when I applied them wet at a later time. I used this palette in combination with the eye brushes from the New Zodiac 6 Piece Brush Set (review later on this week!), and I was VERY impressed QKKrew; they blended so beautifully with minimum fallout, and the shadows were smooth and buttery.
What a P.L.T. (Pretty Little Thang!) I really do enjoy this palette. I think its an excellent way to try out the Take Me Back 2 Brazil palette without being overwhelmed by all the color options. If it's something you find you can't live without, you can always upgrade to the full palette and expand your creativity. You can pick this up for $14.00 on site right now; a total STEAL!
