BH Cosmetics Highlighting Essentials 7 Piece Brush Set

Somebody up there in Makeup Heaven MUST love me!!  My latest makeup brush obsession for the past several months has been about building a legit highlighter brush kit.  I had one single brush that I adored, but I was in search of a complete range of tools for all my highlighting needs.  When shopping, I had been targeting sets specifically based on whether or not a highlight brush was included; that is, until BH dropped the 7 pcs Highlighting Essentials brush set...It's like they read my mind!  There are so many gems here, brushes I never knew I needed!  Let's jump right in and discuss this gift from the makeup gods...

It's only right to give an overview of each brush; but before I get into that, can we please discuss the ombre metallic barrels and duo fiber brush hairs?!  I love the colorway and FEEL of these barrels.  They have a decent weight, and do NOT feel cheap.  The brush hairs are beige in color with white tips, but they do not seem to hold onto color; each rinsed clean.  Each brush is incredibly soft; flexible with the right amount of density.  Here's the lowdown on each brush:

1. Small Duo Fiber Highlight Brush- think small stippling brush, but for highlight! Perfect for precision cheek placement

   2. Tapered Highlight Brush- my fave style of highlight brush; can be used for basically anything; ideal size for just above apples of your cheek

 3. Flat Highlight Brush- a more streamlined version of a traditional highlight brush; more flat in shape; less fluffy

   4. Fan Highlight Brush- fantastic for body highlight; particularly for the collar bone and shoulders

 5. Round Highlight Brush- traditional style and shape of highlight brush; can be used all over the face

  6. Nose Highlight Brush- correctly named; deposits highlight evenly down the bridge of the nose and at the tip

  7. Slanted Highlight Brush- think large eyeshadow brush; ideal for placing highlight on the cupid's bow and forehead
