Today's review was actually my very 1st purchase from BH's Studio Pro line. In fact, I was so impressed with it, I HAS to be the REAL reason I chose to purchase the rest of the Pro products BH has to offer. First impression upon unboxing, "I think I may have found that ONE palette I can reac for on a daily basis!" The colorway looked much more versatile than the more recent palette releases of late, which seem to be "theme" based; which can seriously limit the practicality. The Ultimate Artistry Palette is BIG on providing both color options and pigmentation...
There are 42 color options in here, each one different, yet finding coordinating shades for looks was a breeze. You get a mix of mattes, shimmers, and satins; all of which are seriously pigmented. The color payoff on the pastel matte shades are not as vibrant when swatched, however, they pick up the intensity when applied to the lid, and are extremely buildable. There is a purple matte shade in the palette, 3 rows down from the top, and six colors over from the left that has me SHOOK!!! It's super-vibrant, and is the perfect grape shade with blues undertone; making it instantly flattering on multiple skin tones(especially us brown-eyed girls!). This is ideal for everyday, but can easily be used to create looks for a night out; making it both travel worthy, AND kept front and center on your makeup table.
This was a great purchase, and I highly recommend this to newer makeup artist looking to build a kit on a budget, containing high quality,saturated colors that show up to WORK. I'd also recommend this to my everyday makeup mavens who have a real love of creamy, blendable eyeshadows.
