I just love it when something unexpected rocks my makeup world! That's exactly what happened with today's mini wonder, BH's Afternoon Rendezvous 16 color Eyeshadow Palette. Very rarely to I purchase smaller palettes geared towards the girl on the go. I much rather save the center space in my suitcase to pack the full sized versions of things I can't live without. Every girl loves a remixed smokey eye a night out on ANY town, and Afternoon Rendezvous delivers...
The only real WTF moment I had with this product is in the name itself; in my opinion, there are only maybe 3 shades, if worn alone, that can be considered "afternoon" appropriate. It should have been titled "Evening" Rendezvous instead. From the moment it arrived, all I could think about was all the beautiful smokey eye looks I could create! The pigmentation is gorgeous, and it's the identical formula as those shadows in Moroccan Sunset. As a matter of fact, for all my OG BH Cosmetics fans, you ladies may recall the large Smokey Eye 28 Color Palette with the clear plastic top from a few years back? This sooo reminds me of that, with a few updated shade swaps and formula change. I especially enjoyed the shimmer shades, and applying them wet to make the super intense. The mattes were buttery smooth, and were just as pigmented whether applied dry or wet.
This is a palette you absolutely CANNOT afford to pass up. If you hurry, you can catch them on sale via the BH website right now for $7.80; otherwise they are priced at $12.00 each. This, with Moroccan Sunset, combined with the BH Chic Mini Brush Set are the travel Dream Team of eye makeup. 💋💋💋💋💋, no doubt!! If BH keeps coming this hard with the travel friendly products, I may just have to put together an entirely new travel kit that ACTUALLY features travel size products!!! I guess THIS tiger can change her stripes...~The Queen
