Confession: This is the first time I purchased a palette with total disregard for the eyeshadows! I purchased this palette SOLELY off the strength of the blushes! When I purchased Blushed Neutrals, I was searching for something universal for my birthday, since I had no idea what look I wanted to do at the time. Not to say these eyeshadows would not be lovely in their own right, but it was those beautiful blush shades that drew me in! Once the palette arrived, I actually took a look at the eyeshadows, I noticed the colorway was different from any other neutral palette I currently owned. This went into my birthday bag for use on my special day, but since then, I have been been creating some eye looks that were so decent, I've been impressing myself!
Blushed Neutrals contains 26 colors in all, 21 eyeshadows, and 5 blushes. There are a mix of finishes; including mattes, satins, and shimmers. None of the blush shades are matte, however, the deepest blush shade has more of a satin finish, containing virtually NO glitter. As with most every blush from BH Cosmetics, they are VERY pigmented; the phrase, "a little goes a long way", cannot be stressed enough!! What I really like about this range of colors when it comes to the eyeshadows is the emphasis on the more "fall leaf" colorway; featuring oranges, a mix of brown shades, and of course that popping pink shade up top and center. These are also very pigmented, and are fine on their own for everyday without a primer. My favorite 3 shades in the palette are located directly in the middle from top to bottom. As far as the formula is concerned, on both the blush and the eyeshadows, it is smooth and easily blendable. I Love it when I can put my hands on one palette and get everything I need for my eye look. Blushed Neutrals absolutely fits the bill, and costs LITERAL pennies. I would love to see these blush shades available for individual purchase, or perhaps a revamp on the packaging that includes shade names.
